Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 contains intellectual property (IP) owned by Games Workshop. Keep the following in mind when creating mods for this title:

  • When uploading Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 mods to the Steam Workshop or the PROS Web Portal, you must confirm that you have read the section on Mods in the game’s EULA. This is provided as a pop-up message when you are uploading.
  • Make sure your mod meets the requirements laid out in the EULA, especially with regard to the treatment of Games Workshop and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 IP, and ensuring that no third-party IP is present.
  • Include only Warhammer 40,000 content in your mods — other Games Workshop IP, such as Warhammer The Horus Heresy or Warhammer Necromunda are separate and often licensed to other companies, or used in other games.
  • Do not include or alter content in a way that is offensive or denigrating to the world of Warhammer 40,000.
  • It is not permitted to charge or ask for money for your Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 mods.
  • Mods must not contain AI and AI-assisted materials, or any other content created with generative AI tools.
